Intelligence agencies tracking MPs?

Even as Manmohan Singh tries hard to cobble together the numbers to win the impending trust vote, TIMES NOW has learnt that Intelligence agencies are keeping a close tab on MPs from various states.
Sources have told TIMES NOw that the three state governments — UP, Tamil Nadu & West Bengal — have asked their intelligence agencies to track MPs from their state.
With at least 3 Samajwadi Party MPs defying the party whip, Uttar Pradesh is tracking both SP and BSP MPs to find out if any of them are likely to defect.
In Tamil Nadu, sources have told that the government is keeping a close watch on PMK MPs. With a rift between fellow-UPA ally the DMK, there are concerns over their support, despite their promise.
And in West Bengal, with differences emerging within the Left parties, sources say that inteligence agencies are keeping a tab on senior leaders to ascertain their stand on the trust vote.
With every vote counting, there’s still no clarity on the number of MPs, the Samajwadi Party will be able to provide the government with, during the crucial trust vote.
Sources have told that three SP MPs — Munawwar Hasan (MP from Muzaffarnagar), Jai Prakash Rawat (MP from Mohanlalganj) and Rajnarayan Budhaulia (MP from Hamirput) — fall in the fence-sitter category.
