Is Walmart Open On Thanksgiving, Many Walmarts are in fact open on Thanksgiving. Stores will open at 6 a.m. on Thursday to avoid the shopping rush that led to last year’s employee death in NY. However, please note that Black Friday deals do not begin until Friday at 5 a.m.

So get to Walmart late Thursday night and get a jump on your Black Friday shopping.
