Islamabad High Court to hear Wednesday plea for FIR against Musharraf, Shaukat AzizA single bench of the Islamabad High Court comprising Chief Justice Sardar Mohammad Aslam will hear on Wednesday a writ petition seeking registration of FIR (first investigation report) against former president Pervez Musharraf, former prime minister Shaukat Aziz and others.

The petition has been filed by Khalid Khawja, President Defence of Human Rights, against former head of state and chief executive, former interior minister Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao, Islamabad Chief Commissioner Khalid Pervez and the then deputy commissioner Mohammad Ali and others for allegedly abducting him on January 26, 2007.

The petitioner has claimed that he was implicated in false cases and illegally kept in custody for a long time.

He maintained that he tried to register FIR against the nominated people but the police refused despite his illegal detention.

The petitioner has prayed the court to issue direction for registration of FIR against the nominated persons.
