Actress Jennifer Love Hewitt has split with her fiance of two years Ross McCall. Hewitt who starred in films like ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ and ‘The Truth About Love’, got engaged to the
Scottish actor in 2007 after dating him for two years.
But the 30-year-old actress is now back to her single status after the couple called it quits during Christmas, ‘People.com’ reported.
“They broke up over the holidays and ended their engagement. They’re both really sad about this. Even their friends are surprised; they seemed really happy. Everyone just wants the best for both of them,” said a source close to the couple.
Although no wedding date was fixed but Hewitt was apparently very worried about getting into shape for her upcoming nuptials.
The star who gained considerable weight since 2007 was spotted in a fuller-figure while strolling with Ross on a Hawaiian beach.
“I’m getting ready to turn 30 and get married and all those things. This year was my year to try to glow from within and feel better,” the actress had said.
McCall, who starred in the mini series ‘Band of Brothers,’ appeared in one episode of Hewitt’s hit show ‘Ghost Whisperer,’ in 2006.
