Jindal: I’m not in race to running mate for McCain
Monday, August 18, 2008 at 11:08 am
Indian American Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal has once again ruled out the possibility of becoming vice presidential candidate with Republican nominee Senator John McCain, saying “I have got the job I want”.
Despite Jindal’s daily statements to the contrary, the name of the 37-year old Indian American for the running mate of McCain simply does not go away from the radar screen.
Jindal told NBC’s ‘Meet the Press’ programme he is not in the race for running mate to McCain and that he has to work more for his state.
“No, I’ve got the job I want,” Jindal replied when asked if he would like to be McCain’s running mate. “I am voting for Senator McCain. I’ll do what I can to help him. I will do it as good governor. We cut taxes, we’re growing jobs, lowest unemployment in 30 years, but we have more work,” Jindal said.
