ISLAMABAD PAKISTAN: The summary of appointment of two retired session judges in High Court and appointment of Justice Khalil-ur Rehman Ramday as ad-hoc judge, prior to his retirement, has been challenged in the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
The petition has been lodged by Watan Party’s chief Barrister Zafarullah.
The petitioner maintained that two retired session judges Nasim Akhtar and Ahad Farooq have been appointed as additional judges of High Court, which is not possible according to the law.
He further stated that the summary of appointment of ad-hoc judge in Supreme Court could only be sent after the retirement. However, the appointment summary of Justice Khalil-ur Rehman Ramday was sent to the apex court before his retirement.
