Justice Azmat Declines to Hear Case on Zardari’s Dual Office

LAHORE, Pakistan News: Justice Azmat Saeed Sheikh of Lahore High Court has refused to hear the case challenging dual offices of President Zardari.
Earlier, a five-judge bench has been formed comprising Justice Azmat Saeed Sheikh, Justice Iftikahr Hussain, Justice Iqbal Hameed, Justice Umar Ata Bandial to hear the said case. Justice Azmat gave the plea that he used to be President Zardari’s counsel. However, after the refusal of Justice Azmat, the case has been sent to Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry. During the hearing, the Deputy Attorney General asked the court to adjourn the case, saying that the Attorney General could not make to the court due to his preoccupations. The court put off hearing till March 15.
