Karachi Stock Exchange trading volume drops to 3 months’ lows

KARACHI: Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) witnessing yet another sustained lackluster trading recorded the three months’ lowest volume of trading today.
The market opening in a negative environment remained downbeat throughout the trading session, which resulted in the KSE-100 index erosion by 8 points and wrapping up at 9,216 points. The volume of trading today aggregated to 5.5 million shares, which is the lowest since July 2007. Volume leader Engro Chemical shares rising by Rs1.44 closed at Rs186.14. Analyst believed that the market trading activities could further sag in the upcoming days.
