Karachi Accountability Court acquitted Local Bodies Minister Agha Siraj Durrani in a NAB reference.
Talking to media, Durrani said, “I was implicated in fake cases during the previous regime as I refused to yield to the dictatorial pressures”.
In 1995, Durrani was accused of handing over Rs400million to a furniture contractor sans the supply of furniture to government schools.
In 2002, the Accountability Court sentenced both the culprits 5-year term.
Sindh High Court directed the AC to reopen the case on Agha Siraj Durrani’s appeal.
