LAHORE: Chief justice Lahore High Court Syed Zahid Hussain has called for the record of fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar’s ‘misbehaviors’.
On the occasion of hearing of the appeal against Shoaib Akhtar’s ban and fine, lawyer of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Tafazzul Rizvi told the court that Shoaib Akhtar had assured the court that he would change his behavior and adopt the manners of a good person but he severely slammed the Pakistan cricket team and the PCB after going to India and participated in a dance show.
These incidents proved that he did not change his attitude despite an assurance to the court, the lawyer said.
At this moment, Shoaib Akhtar’s lawyer Abid Minto said that if the cricket board wants to make charges on Shoaib Akhtar then these should be brought on record so that the answer could be given.
He said that the PCB did not issue a show cause notice nor it made any inquiry of his statement.
On this, chief justice Syed Zahid Hussaian directed the PCB lawyer to present all matter of his stance before the court so that the other party could be asked to answer.
The court stopped the further proceeding until the record is submitted.
