Lahore High Court Tuesday Extended Stay On Recovery Of Withholding Tax

LAHORE: Lahore High Court Tuesday extended stay on recovery of Withholding Tax being charged at the power bills.

A bench of the LHC during hearing of a petition challenging imposition of the tax also summoned the Wapda and NEPRA officials on November 3.

The court ordered Wapda not to recover tax from the power consumers till the case being decided.

The water and power authority could not charge Withholding Tax in November power bills after the court order.
