LFW: Stars set the ramp on fire on Day 4

It was Day Four of the Lakme Fashion Week and the stars set the ramp on fire, including a cricketer. Designer Vikram Phadnis’s Show turned out to be a a runaway success with the showstoppers.

The only high point on the Day 4 of the Lakme Fashion Week was the ‘Vikram Phadnis show’ and if it had to be Vikram’s collection displays, one thing is for sure that it would be full of colour and bling, and so it was – where the audience got to witness not one, not two but four showstoppers.

It was round two for actress Priyanka Chopra at the Fashion Week, who took to the ramp for friend Vikram. Along with Priyanka, South’s sizzling star Shreya Saran dazzled in a red gown, while cricketer Sreesanth bowled everyone over when he took to the stage coupled with his confident strides.

As Sreesanth commented on the Fashion Week, “I think, I’m very excited because it’s a rare occasion. Walking on the ramp has always been something, which everyone looks upto.” Meanwhile Shreya stated, “Vikram’s collections boasts of lots of colour, beauty and fun. It’s very vibrant and exciting.”

But what set Vikram’s fashion show a notch above the others, was a special show put up by ace choreographer Shiamak Dawar, who even went a step ahead and sang for this Bollywood designer.

Though Vikram showcased his collection in style, it was his four showstoppers which got the maximum attention rather than his collection.

The grand finale of Lakme Fashion Week, has designer Sabayasachi’s collection – which will evidently be presented with panache, and will have a perfect ending to this year’s (2008) most acclaimed fashion event.
