Mangalore police seeks custody of Muthalik

The Mangalore police on Wednesday (January 28) sought custody of Sri Ram Sena Chief Pramod Muthalik. The police has sent a team with a warrant to seek Muthalik’s custody in the Mangalore pub incident.

The Sri Ram Sena chief was arrested for a case separate from the Managalore incident. The police said that they booked Muthalik in a case pending against him in another district of Karnataka. And since the case is registered in another district, he cannot be handed over to the Mangalore police.

There are 48 cases pending against Muthalik, including 8 cases for rioting.

On Tuesday (January 27), Pramod Muthalik, ahead of his arrest, apologised to the assaulted girls in an exclusive interview to TIMES NOW.(Read more)
