March Against French Pension Policies

France has announced its new policy according to which ministers pension will be reduced by 25% and the unemployment benefit were also reduced and pensioner were also affected by it. People of France protested against the cruel system of pension by which the retirement age increases to 60 years.
Many people protested against the new legislation and demanded to take it back. In rainy Paris streets 90,000 marched said the powerful CGT union. According to different parties they will continue protest until government takes its decision back. They said that if their demands will not fulfill then they will adopt other measure against government.
10 to 20 % of the post office and national telecoms provider France Telecom staff went on strike. According to Labour Minister Eric Woerth said that on Wednesday there was no clause of rising retirement age in bill but next day it was included in it by Budget Minister Francois Baroin who forward it for debate in parliament.
According to media government is considering to upping the retirement age to 62 or 63 and also extending the period of contribution to 42 years from 40.5 year. People will get extra benefit for 1.5 year by increase in contribution period.
