Maria Susairaj talks to Mathew in court

Maria Susairaj, one of the accused in the sensational Neeraj Grover murder case, was recently granted permission to talk to her naval officer fiancée and co-accused in the case Emile Jerome Mathew inside the courtroom.
The Esplenade court on September 18 permitted Susairaj to talk to Mathew inside the courtroom for about half an hour, the Kannada actress’ advocate G Kannur said. The permission was granted after Susairaj filed an application on the same day seeking to speak with her parents and Mathew.
Kannur, however, refused to divulge details of the conversation between Susairaj and Mathew, who have been accused of murdering Neeraj Grover, an executive producer with TV production house Synergy Adlabs.
Earlier, the Sessions Court on September 16 had rejected the bail application filed by Susairaj. The Court had observed that there is prima facie evidence to prove her involvement in the murder. Susairaj and Mathew had on May 7 allegedly stabbed Grover to death and cut the body into several pieces before burning it at Manor in the outskirts of Mumbai. (PTI)
