Matt James Death, St. Xaviers’ lineman Matt James fell off to death from Mexico hotel balcony on Friday. The news of His death came upon as shock to one and all Xaverians who gathered hurriedly at the school. The choir along with the students all stood with candles in their hand to pay their last homage to Matt James in the football ground of the school. The close friends of Matt James like Kyle Bedinghaus was deeply hurt as he was informed of his best pal’s death which made him reach the school ground to join all others.

Matt James was immensely popular in the school due to his tussle it out hard style of tackling for which he was awarded with Anthony Munoz Offensive Lineman of the Year Award. Matt James had a huge number of fans who recalled how gentle and down to earth he had been to one and all. His great body and huge physique made the choir director Karl Thomsen call him “a giant teddy bear”.

Before Matt James, St. Xaviers had already witnessed the death of another fellow mate of Matt James, Kevin Lee who died in a car accident in the last season. It was sad to have witnessed how Matt James’ death brought about an end to his bright career. Reportedly, Matt James was looking forward to his scholarships which had a huge offering starting from Florida, North Carolina, Alabama and Tennessee. Matt James was also awarded with USA Today’s first-team All-America honors. It is only because of Matt James that St. Xaviers made a difference in their game play thus rising up to the No. 4 rank in the final Division I of state poll game.
