Maulana Fazlur Rehman said resolving issues through dialogue

PESHAWAR: Amir Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam, 
Sunday called for an end to the military operations in the country, and asked the government to resolve outstanding issues through dialogue.
Addressing the media after an all parties consultative conference, Amir JUI said the meeting has recommended the formation of a regional bloc to deal with conflicts between Pakistan and its neighbours.
He also denounced the international troop presences in Afghanistan as ‘destabilising’.
He asked the government to make immediate arrangements to return the displaced people of Bajaur Agency to their homes and compensate those who have lost their families in the operation.
Finally, Fazl-ur-Rehman requested the federal government to work towards a permanent ceasefire in the tribal areas, particularly in Bajaur Agency, during the holy month of Ramazan.
