Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati stated on Friday (March 20), “It is high time, that BSP should come to power at the Centre, and cautioned her party workers against “propaganda” of the Opposition parties.
“It is the high time, that the BSP should come to power at the Centre. But it is not that easy as Opposition parties – especially BJP, Congress and SP – will try every trick to confuse the electorate, and dent the party’s vote bank,” claimed BSP supremo Mayawati, in a statement issued for the party workers.
“We have to remain alert, as these parties themselves did nothing for the upper castes, scheduled castes, scheduled tribes and minorities but during the elections, they try to mislead them by announcing a number of schemes,” confirmed Mayawati.
“A number of rumours can also be spread by the Opposition parties, to mislead the upper caste voters by claiming, that the BSP was against them – which is not true,” remarked the Chief Minister, adding that her party “believes in egalitarian society and working in this direction”.
Mayawati also alleged that due to the political conspiracy, small incidents in the state were blown out of proportion by the Opposition parties, in order to malign the image of the government.
