MQM announces support for strike call over Baloch murder

LONDON: Quaid Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Altaf Hussain has announced support for the call of strike given by Baloch National Party (BNP) leader Sardar Akhtar Mengal over the brutal murder of three Baloch leaders whose mutilated corpses were on Thursday.
In his statement released from London, Altaf urged Balochistan people and the activists MQM to make the strike, in protest of brutality and heinous murders, affective so that country could reflect the message of unity among various nations here in Pakistan.
Meanwhile, MQM chief Altaf Hussain also vehemently condemned the killing of three Baloch leaders and termed the incident a conspiracy to destabilise the country.
His statement further said, the killing of the Baloch leaders was aimed at pressing the voice for the rights of Balochistan therefore reaction from the Baloch community on this incident was natural.
He urged the government to take effective measures to curb the sense of deprivation in the Baloch community. He said the killing of the Baloch leaders was also a conspiracy to sabotage the ongoing reconciliation process in the country.
MQM leader demanded President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, Interior Advisor Rehman Malik and CM Balochistan Aslam Raisani to take immediate notice of the incident and punish the culprits involved.
Later, Altaf Hussain expressed his heartfelt grief and sorrow with the families of Ghulam Mohammad Baloch, Sher Mohammad Baloch and Lala Munir Baloch and activists of BRP over the brutal incident.
