MQM Delegation Meets President Asif Zardari

ISLAMABAD: A four-member delegation of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) held a meeting with President Asif Ali Zardari at the Presidency and discussed coalition matters and current political situation.
“The delegation had discussed with the President the MQM bill to repeal the 17th amendment
and the coming Senate elections,” Senator Babar Ghauri told Pakistan News.
Replying a question about the Sindh Chief Minister statement about the MQM constitutional amendment bill, Ghouri said the matter has been discussed with Peoples Party government at federal level and a text of the bill was provided to Dr. Babar Awan.
MQM parliamentary leader in the National Assembly Dr Farooq Sattar led the delegation, which included Senator Babar Ghauri, Waseem Akhtar and Sindh Assembly member Adil Siddiqui.
Federal Minister for Water and Power Raja Pervez Ashraf and federal Advisor for Interior Rehman Malik were also present during the meeting.
