KARACH: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has gifted a house to outgoing Karachi mayor Syed Mustafa Kamal as a token of appreciation for his exemplary services, which included Karachi among the world’s modern and developed cities.

Syed Mustafa Kamal served as Sindh Information Minister before taking charge of Karachi City Nazim in 2005.
Despite being mayor of the country’s largest city for four year, he does not have his own house. He has been living at a rented house in Gulshan-e-Iqbal town.
The MQM’s Rabita Committee gifted a house to Mustafa Kamal for working earnestly and honestly as mayor of Karachi for the development of Karachi.
MQM chief Altaf Hussain has endorsed the Rabita Committee’s decision to award Mustafa the house.
