Nawaz Sharif visits Swat internally displaced persons’s camp

Mian Nawaz Sharif Chief of Pakistan Muslim League N visited the camps set up for the internally displaced persons (IDPs) of Swat and Buner.
Mian Nawaz Sharif Chief of Pakistan Muslim League N extended his full support for the rehabilitation of the affectees of the military operation, saying that the people of Malakand Division “are our brothers and we will take all out measures for their assistance.” The motherland of Pakistan, including Punjab, is ready to help Swat victims, two-time former premier said.
Mian Nawaz said Punjab government has established a fund with 100 million rupees to provide aid to the military operation’s affectees.
To a query, the former premier said “It is not a time to discuss the issue of taking PML-N into confidence over the operation, but now it’s a time to assist these victims.”
CM NWFP AMeer Haider Khan Hoti, Begum Kulsoom Nawaz Sharif, MNA Hanif Abbassi, PML-N leader Saranjam Khan, Pir Sabir Shah and former Federal Minister for Communication, Azam Khan Hoti were also present on the occasion.
Talking to media, the PML-N leader said that the elements responsible for the factors leading to launching of operation in Swat, Dir Lower and Buner districts did not deserve any leniency.
Nawaz Sharif also urged the Sindh and Balochistan governments to come forward and meet expenditure of one camp each in a bid to help the NWFP government for the rehabilitation of IDPs. The PML-N chief said the provision of justice, economic empowerment and social welfare besides maintaining law and order are top priorities of every government.
He said Swat should again be made an oasis of peace where everyone gets equal opportunity of education and employment, adding the this piece of land should be brought at par with the other developed areas of the country.
