Nazims to be replaced by Administrators: PM Gilani

ISLAMABAD Pakistan :The government has decided to appoint Administrators from August 2009 to replace Nazims in the local body system.
Addressing a news briefing on Wednesday here after chairing a meeting of Inter Provincial Coordination Committee, Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani said that the Nazims would be replaced by administrators from August.
He also announced to make amendments in Police Order 2002. Gilani said a meeting would be called shortly to review the National Finance Commission (NFC) award.
Chief Minister NWFP Amir Haider Khan Hoti, Governor Owais Ahmed Ghani, Governor Balochistan Nawab Zulfiqar Ali Magsi and others were also present in the briefing.
The PM announced to mark the year 2010 as Year of Literacy and termed the education police as a “provincial matter”.
