NWFP Assembly Supports Zardari For Presidential Slot

PESHAWAR:The NWFP Assembly passed a resolution here on Monday proposing PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari name for the slot of new President of Pakistan.

NWFP PPP President and Senior Minister Rahimdad Khan moved the resolution that welcomed the nomination of Asif Zardari for presidential slot and expressed hope that he would work for freedom of judiciary and democracy after assuming the office of the president.

Another resolution was presented in today’s session by Bashir Bilure of ANP regarding Fata operation. Opposition leader in NWFP assembly Akram Khan Durrani while commenting on the resolution said that JUI has reservations over Fata operation and JUI would not become the part of the resolution till the removal of these reservations.
