5.3 earthquake hit the San Diego area today, according to USGS.gov. Quake is one of many that have occurred in the region and around the world this year.The earthquake occurred near Ocotillo in the morning on Saturday 10:33.
The epicenter was 4.4 on the Richter scale at 8:08 pm PST (0308 GMT Sunday) about 12 miles (20 kilometers) south-east of the Goat, is an unincorporated community in southern Riverside County. Amounted to about 3.7 miles (6 kilometers) deep, which makes a shallow earthquake, according to the United States Geological Survey.
Once you reach the earthquake, and a number of inhabitants of the region to announce seism their accounts and social networks, including Twitter and Facebook. The earthquake was one relatively small, compared to some of the earthquakes that are used to see the area, and certainly not nearly as large as the earthquakes that struck Haiti beast and Chile earlier this year. There was no mention of damages or injuries as a result of the earthquake, which occurred at this time.
