Omar Samhan updates

Omar Samhan, who arrived on campus five-years ago as a 310-pound project and has evolved into the Gaels’ go-to guy in the post.

He had 29 points and 12 rebounds in 28 minutes in SMC’s upset of Richmond on Thursday. He is eager to keep the good times rolling today against Villanova.

Samhan was swamped by e-mails and text messages from fellow students and friends after the win against Richmond, one of which chided him on ruining that person’s bracket. The text was from Samhan’s mother.
