Operation In Swat, 15 Militant Killed by Forces

Mingora: Security forces killed at least 15 Taliban militants in clashes scattered throughout the Swat Valley, northwest on Monday.

Soldiers searching for militants after Sunday’s attack in the training center Mingora police claiming 17 lives met resistance in several sectors, and the battles that erupted in early Monday left 30 people dead, reports said.

Army statement said separately Monday, 15 more militants were killed in security sweeps of five other areas in the last 24 hours and two soldiers were killed.

Meanwhile, a major security operation has also been launched against militants in Tehsil Bara of Khyber Agency, the channel said.
