Orphan movie, Orphan is a 2009 American horror thriller film directed by Jaume Collet-Serra. The film centers on a couple who, after their death of their infant child, adopt a young girl who may be hiding behind her sweet facade. Orphan was produced by Joel Silver and Susan Downey of Dark Castle Entertainment and Leonardo DiCaprio of Appian Way Productions. The film was released theatrically in the United States on July 24, 2009
