Leander Paes and Lukas Dlouhy stumbled at the final hurdle, losing the summit clash of the euro 1,445,000 World Tennis tournament in Rotterdam, 2-6 5-7 to Canadian Daniel Nestor and Serbia’s Nenad Zimonjic on Sunday (Februayr 15).
The second seeded Indo-Czech pair squandered six breakpoints — three each in both the sets — to lose the final encounter in one hour and two minutes.
At the USD 600,000 SAP Open in California, United States, Rohan Bopanna and Jarkko Niemenin dumped fourth seeded Stephen Huss and Ross Hutchins 3-6 7-6 (5) 10-5 to make the final.
Bopanna and his Finnish partner will lock horns with Tommy Haas of Germany and Radek Stepanek of Czech Republic, who got a walkover from Americans James Blake and Mardy Fish.
Bopanna-Niemenin had upset top seeds and Australian Open winners Mike and Bob Bryan in the quarterfinals.
