Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi is on a four-day visit to India.
Qureshi will hold talks with External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee on a whole range of issues including terrorism, Kashmir, Siachen, Sir Creek, trade and river water sharing.
The 2007 blast on cross-border Samjhauta Express is also expected to figure in the talks.
On his visit, Qureshi had earlier siad that his visit to India will help remove misunderstandings between Islamabad and New Delhi, besides bridging the “trust deficit” between the two nations.
The visit to India will help “bridge the gulf and end the trust deficit between the two countries”, he said on Sunday (November 23), while talking to reporters.
The visit will also remove misunderstandings between the two countries and prove fruitful in strengthening ties with India, he said.
Qureshi said he would talk to the Indian leadership on differences over the sharing of Chenab waters. The Kashmir issue, already a part of the composite dialogue process between the two countries, will also be discussed.
