Pakistan Wants Cobra and Apache Helicopters From USAfter Pakistan Foreign Minister, Shah Mehmood Qureshi demanded unmanned Predator aircrafts from the US, Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Kayani has now asked the Obama administration to provide it with Cobra and Apache assault helicopter gunships to carry out operations against the insurgents in the tribal areas along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.

General Kayani handed over the list of demands to senior US military officials during their recent meeting. The Daily Times reported.

Islamabad has also asked for spare parts for the existing weapons, which are in urgent need of repair, as they are way past their stipulated working age.

Earlier, Qureshi had reportedly asked the United States to provide unmanned aircrafts to carry out attacks on militant hideouts inside its territory.
