Pakistani traders to be given access to US markets: Hillary Clinton

Lahore, Pakistan:- US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said on Thursday that her country wanted to strengthen economic cooperation with Pakistan and Pakistani traders would be allowed access to the US open markets.
Addressing Pakistan’s business community at Governor House Lahore, Clinton said Pakistan had many positive aspects. “The Country had tremendous economic potential. The United States is Pakistan’s largest trade partner and investor and wants to enhance economic cooperation in future.” Governor Punjab Salman Taseer, while addressing on the occasion, said Kerry-Lugar Bill was in interest of Pakistan and would have positive impacts on the country’s economy.
Traders and Industrialists present on the occasion demanded the US secretary of state to improve Pakistani product’s access to the US markets, process of getting business visas should be eased, more investment should be made in energy sector and US companies should augment trade with Pakistani companies.
