Parvathy Omanakuttan returns home

Parvathy Omanakuttan, the first runner up at the Miss World Pageant held in Johannesburg returned to India with her crown.
Parvathy was greeted by jubilant fans at the International Airport in Mumbai in the wee hours Wednesday (December 17) morning.
Parvathy impressed the jury with her grace and quick wit and was one of the five finalists out of the 109 contestants at the Sandton Convention Center in Johannesburg in South Africa. However, she was finally beaten by Miss Russia.
It is after a gap of eight years that a Miss India has reached the top three. The last time the crown time the crown came to India was in 2000, when Priyanka Chopra won the Miss World Title.
