Pearl Harbor Day

Pearl Harbor Day, Today we remember the tragic events that occurred in 1941 at Pearl Harbor. This was the event which attracted threshold level of the United States in World War II.

Remembering the tragedy of that day and the price was taken in the United States, we must remember to be vigilant and not allow a repeat of that event to be held ever. Last week, the issue of electronic Pearl Harbor was asked again and again. Is it po-si-ble? The answer is yes. Are there problems with a tunnel? That’s where the debate comes in.

There are a number of groups who want nothing more than for the United States to its knees. Certainly there are vulnerabilities that could be exploited in the nation’s critical infrastructure could result in serious disruption of critical services.

For nearly two decades and cyber warfare capabilities have been recognized as a strategic power, and many believe that this power is on par with weapons of mass destruction. Many governments around the world have woken up and seen the strategic value of cyber weapons and integrated cyber capabilities in military doctrine and plans. What is equally worrying is the pursuit of these weapons by terrorists. Last week, Northrop Grumman announced formation of a Consortium for Research on Cyber Security to help protect the critical infrastructure of the nation and to counter the growing threat of cyber attacks.

As a former director of National Intelligence Mike McConnell, because – “We will concentrate on this problem until we get some catastrophic event.” While there is a movement, the fund is an electronic Pearl Harbor could be what the appropriate level occurs before action is taken.
