People Reject Personal Hitting Against BB, Zardari: Farahnaz Ispahani
ISLAMABAD:The politics of personal destruction directed against both Mohtrama Benazir Bhutto and Senator Asif Ali Zardari have been rejected by the people of Pakistan time and again. These new attacks on him will be understood by the people of our nation to be what they are, a relic of the era of dictatorship and personal destruction.

It is part of Pakistan’s past, but certainly not its future, said Farahnaz Ispahani, Member National Assembly and spokesperson at Zardari House while commenting on an article carried by Daily Telegraph on Tuesday.

Zardari is fit and well and has shown from his masterful handling of Pakistani politics since the martyrdom of Mohtarma Shaheed Benazir Bhutto, she added.

“We should all recall that through Zardari’s imprisonment, unsubstantiated charges brought for political reasons, by their own admission, by both Nawaz Sharif and Pervez Musharraf, Asif Ali Zardari refused to break”, she expressed.

Repeatedly he was offered to have all charges dropped if he betrayed his wife and his party, and he sacrificed his own freedom for the principles of democracy, she observed.

He paid a terrible price for the courage of his convictions, an emotional price that he and his wife and their children endured for the sake of the people of Pakistan, added the spokesperson.

That suffering did not make him a weaker man, but a stronger man. It strengthened his relationship with his wife and children, and made him a symbol of courage and leadership to the people of Pakistan, Ispahani said.

“Distorting the private health records of our nation’s leader is a remnant of a darker era of our national history,” she maintained.
