PM Gilani Declares Malakand Calamity-Hit Area

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has declared Malakand division a calamity hit area and written off all farm loans in the region.
Addressing a farmers convention here the prime minister appealed to the world to help the internally displaces persons of the area.
Gilani said that Pakistan being an agro-based country was not much affected by the global recession. He said the new agriculture policy will be announced after consultations with the provinces.
Talking on the power crisis in the country Prime Minister Gilani said he will inaugurate a power plant in every month.
