PM Yousuf Raza Gilani urges nation to unite against extremists

Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani said on Thursday that the objective of launching operation in Lower Dir and Buner was to restore the writ of the constitution.
Gilani said this while meeting with Federal Minister for Interior Minister Rehman Malik, who presented the prime minister a report on Karachi violence. The premier said that the nation should get united to defeat extremists. Gilani also directed Malik to take steps for the rehabilitation of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs).
Rehman Malik briefed Gilani on steps being taken to improve law and order situation in Karachi. The security forces’ operation in Buner and law and order situation in the country also came under discussion. Yousuf Raza Gilani said that all political forces should unite against the scourge of terrorism.
