President Likely To Announce Resignation: Sadiq Al-Farooq

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-N spokesman Sadiq Al-Farooq said Monday that President Pervez Musharraf is likely to announce his resignation today. However, he didn’t rule out any unwise decision by the president in this regard.
Talking to Geo News regarding resignation, Sadiq Al-Farooq said, President Musharraf and rest of nation stand a part. President ruled over the country as supreme leader for eight years, made the institutions to fight each other, he added.
He reiterated PML-N stance that President should not be given safe passage, adding he should be held accountable for all his misdeeds. He further said President Musharraf should be tried according to the law and constitution.
About judges’ restoration, he said it was the collective decision of ruling coalition to restore all deposed judges within three-day of president’s ouster. “If judges are not restored, politician will loose faith and confidence of the masses, he noted.
When asked bout new president, he said ruling coalition would jointly take the decision in this regard.
