President Zardari, ANP Chief Discuss Security Situation in NWFP

ISLAMABAD: President Awami National Party Asfandyar Wali Khan on Saturday called on President Asif Ali Zardari and discussed the matters pertaining to coalition, law and order and security situation in NWFP.
In a meeting held at Aiwan-e-Sadr, the matters including ongoing drive against militants and the relief and rehabilitation measures undertaken by the government for displaced persons also came under discussion.
The President said with international support and marshalling its own resources, the country would soon be able to overcome the difficult situation.
He said the government had worked out plans for the safe return to their homes of the displaced persons and that the damaged infrastructures were being rehabilitated on priority.
