ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The ongoing military offensive in South Waziristan due to the difficult terrain in the end will take time, Director General of ISPR said.

In an interview to a foreign news magazine Maj. Gen. Athar Abbas said forces to move towards the strength of the militants, but progress may be slower due to the mountainous terrain.
The army spokesman confirmed the possibility of deployment of assistance to militants from its allies, but the military has taken steps to obstruct the entry of a large number of militants in the region of Mehsud.
Any destabilization of the region could affect the entire region, Athar Abbas.
