Rain Likely In Punjab, Kashmir, Interior Sindh Within 24 Hours

ISLAMABAD  :According to the Metreological Department, rain with thunder is likely within 24 hours in the areas of Punjab, Kashmir and interior Sindh.

According to private TV, light rain is expected in Sindh and Kashmir and in upper NWFP, Makran coast and northern Balochistan.

According to the Met Office, the heavy rain has been recorded in Lahore during the last 24 hours, which was 68 mm while it was 60 mm in Karachi, 52 mm in Badin, 16 mm in Kotli and 11 mm in Sialkot.

Besides, rain has also been recorded in other cities of the country as 22 mm in Padeidan, 19 mm in Nawabshah, 12 mm in Chore, 10 mm in Battian Bala and Lasbella.

The Metreological Department said that the system of monsoon rain from Rajisthan, India is present in the lower Sindh due to which, within next 24 hours, rain with thunder is likely in Karachi, Hyderabad, Badin, Chore and Thar division.
