India: Rise of Terrorism in Pakistan, Afghan a Worry: Manmohan Singh, Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh says rising incidents of terrorism in Pakistan and Afghanistan has endangered the region’s peace.
“We are very worried about the rise of terrorism in our neighborhood, particularly what is going on in Afghanistan and in Pakistan. We have a vital stake in peace, progress and stability of these countries and other countries of South Asia,” Singh said while inaugurating the India Economic Summit in New Delhi. He maintained India has been a victim of terrorism, “unfortunately coming from across our border for the last 25 years” but the world discovered it as a global problem only after 9/11.
