Rs. 5M reward for info on Baloch leaders killersQUETTA: Interior Advisor Rehman Malik has said that a judicial inquiry commission has started a formal probe into killing of three Baloch nationalist leaders.

Talking to media at Quetta airport on Tuesday, Rehman Malik termed the killing of Baloch leaders a conspiracy to destabilise Pakistan. He announced a cash reward of Rs. 5 million to someone who can pinpoint the culprits who had assassinated the Baloch nationalists.

Malik said the federal government would extend its full cooperation with the judicial inquiry commission. He said the government would ensure peace and security and that no military operation was underway in the province. Rehman Malik said the government wanted to strengthen democratic process in Balochistan and grievances of Baloch people and political forces were being addressed.

To a question, Malik said the objective of his visit was to listen to the concerns of parties concerned over formation and working of judicial inquiry commission. He said that one representative from all intelligence agencies would be included in the investigation committee apart from the area Member National Assembly. He termed the killing of Baloch nationalist leaders a deliberate attempt to foil President Asif Ali Zardari’s package he announced for the uplift of the province.
