Saleem Telugu Movie Review, Genelia and Arun are playing the lead roles in the movie ‘Katha’ which is released today on December 12, 2009. The movie is produced by Urmila Gunnam under the banner of Just Yellow Media Pvt Ltd. The romantic thriller sees the debut of Srinivas Raga as director. Genelia is playing the role of a schoolteacher who is stationed at a hill station and Arun is playing the role of a writer.

The director has done an ‘OK’ job to maintain the balance of the movie. The idea of the plot is to have a slow first half, a murder, a flashback, a pacy thriller post-break and finally a big twist.The heroine stays in the Mantra house where she acts in agitation whenever she’s alone. The heroine (Genelia) witnessed a murder, she told her boyfriend and police about the incident but they don not take her seriously. The tragic part of her past life comes as a hurdle for someone to believe her because she spent a year in a mental asylum. So it becomes confusing whether the murder was a reality or hallucination?

The director showed some wisdom as he doesn’t use loud noises in the background to thrill the atmosphere of the scenes. A murder-mystery which supposed to push the heroine back into hallucinating as she claims to have been recovered of, but she slept with a knife in her hand. Genelia has performed well in the movie while Arun did a good job. Prakashraj played a role of a cop in the movie. Songs of the movie are quite up to the mark. Cast of the movie: Arun, Genelia, Prakashraj, Shafi and others. Lyricist is Ananth Sriram while music is given by SK Balachandran.
