Sanam Bhutto vows to defend Bhutto dynastyNAUDERO: Sanam Bhutto has said that some people with mala fide intentions are trying to use her to score points against her brother-in-law, President Asif Ali Zardari, adding that she will not allow it.

Addressing a press conference at Naudero House here on Wednesday, Sanam Bhutto, the daughter of former Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, said that she had no interest in politics and was visiting her ancestral village to take care of matters relating to her lands, which her sister, Benazir Bhutto handled during her lifetime.

“When my sister was alive, she helped me and took care of my lands. Unfortunately, I have learnt that my sister-in-law Ghinwa has taken over management of my land from my manager, and I have come to take it back,” she said.

Ms. Bhutto said that she appealed to the people to ensure that her lands are not taken over. She lamented that although Ghinwa does not even talk to her, and neither do Fatima and Zulfikar Junior, she still took over her lands.

“Now who do I go to? If I go to the President, people will say that he is helping me because he is my brother-in-law. Therefore I appeal to the people of Pakistan. I don’t want anyone to take over my lands when my back is turned. My mind isn’t on these things since my sister died. I needed time to mourn her loss. But Ghinwa, who doesn’t even acknowledge me is now taking over management of my land,” she said.
