SBP Governor Saleem Raza Steps Down

Governor State Bank of Pakistan Salim Raza has submitted his resignation to the Presidency.
According to sources, Raza stepped down on his personal reasons, which President Asif Ali Zardari approved on the advice of Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani.
Raza took charge of the as governor of central bank’s in January 2009, for a tenure of two years.
Deputy Governor SBP Sheikh Yaseen Anwar has been appointed acting governor of the country’s central bank, added the statement.
