Shahbaz Sharif:Duty Of Police Is To Protect The People

Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif said that duty of police is to protect the people instead of their humiliation. The officials who beaten up the suspects in public will be brought to justice. In a high level meeting to review of issue of police violence, Shahbaz Sharif said that it is court’s duty to give sentence to suspects and no one will be allowed to take law into hands. He said that strict action will be taken against those who violated the law. It was suggested in the meeting that henceforth case under anti-terrorism act will be registered against the police officials who used these methods of violence.
