Shaukat Tareen To Meet KSE Delegation Today: Altaf Hussian

KARACHI: Leader Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Altaf Hussain has said that on his request Federal Advisor to Prime Minister on Finance, Shaukat Tareen has given time to meet Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) delegation today.

Altaf Hussain in his telephonic address at Aqeel Karim Dhedhi’s residence said that MQM always tried to solve issue relating to common public whether it is a issue of electricity or problem relating to business community.

He said that today when he got call from Ahmed Jariah a member of KSE and got to know that small and big investors were in trouble owing current credit crunch KSE and government was not giving much attention to it then Altaf Hussain decided to step in the matter despite his busy schedule.

In this regard Altaf Hussian said he first formed 7-member committee to help pull the Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) from the present financial crisis.

The committee, headed by MQM’s Parliamentary leader in National Assembly, Dr. Farooq Sattar, comprises Babur Ghauri, Rauf Siddiqui and others as members.

Later He called President Zardari but he was busy in meeting with the delegation from China so Advisor to Interior, Rehman talked with him.

Rehman Malik then directed him (Altaf Hussain) towards Shaukat Tareen, Federal Advisor on Finance to Prime Minister, who according to Rehman Malik is appropriate person to talk with.

So Altaf Hussain said that he called Shaukat Tareen and on his request he gave time to meet the delegation of stock exchange today (Sunday).

In the end Altaf Hussain said that MQM is doing all out to take country out of current financial crisis.
