‘Sourav should be celebrated’

Even as Sourav Ganguly is at the centre of a raging debate on wether it is time to ease out the old guard from the Indian cricket team, support has been pouring in for the former India skipper. First it was the current Indian captain Anil Kumble who batted for Saurav and now Actress Aishwariya Rai has lent a word of support.

The actress was in Kolkata promoting a Longines watch collection, when she was asked for her thoughts on the issue to which she said that Sourav was a good sportsman and that he deserves to be celeberated.

“A good sportsman should always be appreciated and acknowleged and I am glad people in India has absolute respect for Sourav. I know him personally and he is a perfect gentleman and it is good to see that you people celebrate him the way he deserves to be.”
