SP to meet on March 6 to discuss poll move

To discuss poll strategy for the coming Lok Sabha elections, Samajwadi Party will hold a meeting to be chaired by SP supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav on March 6, as was claimed by the Samajwadi Party sources.
The sources also mentioned, that party General Secretary Amar Singh may also attend the meet.
“Apart from the poll strategy, the situation that will arise in case, the alliance with Congress fails to materialise will also be discussed in the meet,” said a senior party leader.
“Even though the party believe that SP-Congress tie-up is going to happen but we are taking no chance. We want our cadre to remain prepared, in case, if the alliance did not materialise,” cited the leader, adding that the proposal of Congress for “friendly fights” on some seats, is also likely to be discussed in the meeting.
